GET TO KNOW OUR PLANKS

Helpful info before you choose and install your Pavimento floor

At Pavimento, we’re all about making great-looking floors easy to choose and live with. Our plank range gives you stylish options at an affordable price – but before you dive in, here’s some simple info to help you feel confident about your choice.

How Colours Can Vary (and Why That’s Normal)

When you see our planks online or in a brochure, the colours and textures might look a little different in real life. That’s because:

  • Screens and print materials display colours differently.
  • Lighting in your room (natural or artificial) changes how the floor appears.
  • Realistic plank designs include variation – just like real timber.

What we recommend:

  • Order a sample – it’s the best way to check the colour and texture up close.
  • View it in your space – test it in different lighting and at different times of day.
  • Visit a retailer – they often have larger samples so you can get a better sense of how it will look across a whole floor.

While we do our best to show accurate imagery, what you see on screen may not be a perfect match to the final installed product.

Product Availability & Changes

We’re always working to improve our range, which means sometimes a plank design might be updated or discontinued without much notice.

Also, colours and finishes can vary slightly from batch to batch – it’s just part of how planks are made.

Plank-to-Plank Variation

Pavimento planks are designed with intentional variation – meaning you’ll see differences in grain, tone, and detail from plank to plank. This helps the floor look more natural and less repetitive.

If you’re choosing one of these designs:

  • Review multiple sample planks before committing.
  • Talk to your installer about how the variation will be laid out across your space.

Before Installation

Once your floor is installed, it’s considered accepted – so it’s important to check everything carefully before getting started.

  • The installer must check all materials on arrival to confirm the correct range, colour, batch, quantity, and that everything is free from damage or visible defects.
  • Both the consumer and the installer share responsibility for confirming the flooring’s shade, colour, pattern, size, and surface texture meet the customer’s expectations.
  • Open several cartons and lay out planks to properly view and assess the variation before installation begins.
  • Carefully inspect the product for any visible marks or conditions that could affect the finished floor’s look or performance.
  • All flooring must be conditioned in the installation space for the time and temperature specified in the Pavimento Installation Guide.
  • The consumer and installer share the responsibility for ensuring the product is suitable for its intended space and use. If there’s any doubt, consult your Authorised Pavimento Retailer or Installer before proceeding.
  • Speak to your installer about suitability for the space – specially if it’s a wet area, which Pavimento planks are not recommended for.
  • We can’t take responsibility for issues like colour variation or plank condition once the floor is installed.

    Warranty Information

Your warranty comes through the retailer or professional installer you purchased from. They’ll be your best contact for questions or support related to warranty claims.

To help your floor last, always follow our care and maintenance guidelines and use qualified installers.

    Slip Resistance

Our slip resistance ratings are based on new planks in controlled settings. The actual slip performance can change depending on:

    • The subfloor and how the product is installed
    • Cleaning and maintenance
    • General wear and use

Only planks marked as suitable for wet areas should be used in spaces like bathrooms. Using planks in wet zones may reduce slip resistance and increase the risk of falls.

    A Quick Note on Responsibility

Pavimento does not accept liability for:

    • Differences between what you see in samples or online and the final look of your floor
    • Normal batch variation or ageing over time
    • Issues from incorrect installation or improper care
    • Misunderstanding product descriptions or marketing material

We always recommend checking everything before installation and speaking with your retailer if you’re unsure.
